How it works

How Solar Technology Works

In short, Solar PV Technology takes sunlight and converts it to electrical energy which can then be used by businesses and homes to power their demand – and more.

Our next-generation technology can generate more power even on cloudy days or in partial or temporary shade. Any energy not required can be stored in Lithium-Ion on-site batteries or sold back to the National Grid.

The technical bit:

Sunlight is absorbed by highly efficient materials embedded into the Solar PV panel and starts to generate power immediately. The energy is created in Direct Current (DC) and therefore requires a clever bit of kit which converts it into Alternating Current (AC) which ensures compatibility with equipment in our premises or homes.

To create usable current, solar panels are daisy-chained together and fed via quality interconnectors to supporting equipment within your premises.

Our PV Installations are supported by software which keeps you appraised of their efficiency on a real-time basis. These feeds help you proactively manage cleaning and maintenance of the panels on your roof to maximise long term ROI.
